Yesterday, we had the Every Nation Philippines Service Awards 2016. It’s an annual event the HR Department initiates to recognize those who have served the ministry for increments of 5 years (5, 10, 15, 20 years and so on).

Yesterday, I was recognized as a 5 year awardee. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

I was hired back in 2011 as an administrative assistant for Recruitment in the HR Department. I was 22 years old then. 5 years later, I’m 27 years old, still in the HR Department under Benefits administration, serving the ministry. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

5 years seem like a long time. To give you a better idea of the past 5 years of my life, my personal milestones have been that I:

  1. Got in a relationship.
  2. Got engaged.
  3. Got married.
Me and my husband, Dennis
With my husband, Dennis. I am so blessed to have a husband who supports me, empowers and encourages me. ❀️

But really, as myΒ good friend Pinky said about working in the ministry, “it’s just a breeze.” I totally agree. The past 5 years have gone by with countless paperwork, mistakes, “bloopers”, hours and hours of meetings, events, orientations, interviews, and so much more.

But with all of those things, relationships came with them; and growth, maturity, joy, fulfillment, and friendships. Small and big wins were all celebrated with my colleagues who eventually became my friends too. Like any job, working in the ministry requires hard work. But doing it with these people, makes it worthwhile.

The HR Department from L-R (Jojit, Tin, Aleah, Aaron, Yrose, me, Ms. Jiji (our Chief Operating Officer), Ms. Karen (our HR Director), Giselle, Maan, Tina and Sir Ice (our HR Manager). πŸ‘πŸΌ
Me with our HR Director, Ms. Karen. She’s also an awardee for 10 years of service in the ministry. Since day 1, she mentored me, helped me, encouraged me and prepared me for what’s ahead. Thank you, Ms. Karen, and congratulations to you, too! 😊
The FROGS. They have made my stay in Every Nation so much more worthwhile. Lunch breaks are just not the same without them.

This is Pinky Katipunan. She’s been serving the ministry for 21 years. She’s now the Director for Operations, and my good friend. Thank you, Pinky. 😘

The last One I’ll mention, but definitely not the least, I give all the glory to God. He was the One who gave me this amazing calling, He was the One who sustained me, and He continually prunes me and empowers me for growth. I have an amazing God. Thank You, Lord!Β πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ
